Ultimately. We had another company come to our home and determined the exact same monitoring service (even conducted by the same central monitoring and cloud storage company) was 30% less.
And after we notified Citywide that we were going with another firm, they disconnected our monitoring service mid month, even though we had already paid for the entire month. This left us without security services over the Christmas break week until the new firm could arrive to reinstall all the equipment and get our security system back on line.
The owner called me after I had a couple conversations with the secretarial staff complaining about the abrupt termination of our service. Be informed me there’s nothing he could do. He even states that he didn’t even have to allow me to end my service contract, even though we had been a loyal customer for over 7 years. Weeks earlier I had confirmed we were under no ongoing contractual obligation due to the fact that we had paid for all the equipment years ago.
Overall, it was a very disappointing end of a long term service contract. Very very disappointing. Poor customer service.

Recently we had a new sliding door installed in our kitchen which necessitated removing the alarm sensor from the old slider to the new one. I just bought my first home last week and wasn’t sure about a home alarm system. I had a bunch of other companies come by my house over the week but ended up going with Citywide Alarms. The other companies' sales guys that came by … More were very pushy and wanted an answer right then and there which is not like me at all. When I met Bob, he told me the benefits of an alarm system and how I could save on my insurance and on energy bills. He didn’t rush me or make me feel pressured to make a decision. I took a few days and ended up having Bob come back to give me a quote that ended up being lower than what ADT and Protection One gave me. I had it installed the next day by Steve who was just as nice and he showed me what each sensor did and how my entire house is covered. These guys definitely know what they’re doing and did not try to sell me more stuff than what I needed. Give them a call, you won’t regret it.

We have had City Wide Alarm system since the middle of October 2016. Adam Fogal, the president of CWA, came out to our house personally. Adam walked around the house and discussed with us our security needs. He then gave us his best … More advice and also provided us one heck of a deal on some of the most high-tech equipment we could get for our home. When we met with Adam, he was not a pushy salesperson by any means. He was down-to-earth, let the product sell itself, uber excited about how much equipment we could get... it was like having a friend over to the house. Not to mention that there was no cost to us for the equipment nor activation. We did sign a 3-year contract (like with most alarm companies) and we were happy to do so.We set up an appointment to have the alarm installed the following week, although Adam offered to install it the very next day. Steve came out and was very thorough and so polite and kind. We had some issues with our AC at the time and was even willing to discuss how to troubleshoot the issues with us and the repair person. That is unheard of, based on our experiences. It was not about being territorial or a "know-it-all"; it was about doing what is best for the customer and the situation - a philosophy that we feel is shared by both Steve and Adam. And we appreciate that very much. It made us feel comfortable and very taken care of.We did run into a couple of minor issues after the installation... nothing bad; just a couple of minor equipment adjustments, which were quickly remedied by Steve the very next day. And a few days later, we noticed another small issue with the control panel not relaying some information correctly and Adam, even though it was probably overkill, ended up authorizing us to have a signal booster to help keep the alarm signals strong in the house. So not only was the issue remedied but remedied in such a way as to protect us from having any issues down the road.CityWide went above and beyond our expectations and we could not be happier. Adam (and Steve) are the types of people you dream about working with when you hire someone to do a job for you. The level of customer service, the equipment, the value of the product, the cost we pay per month compared to other companies and plans, the peace of mind we have knowing we are protected - all are top notch and worth the investment. And we were fortunate enough to be able to support a local business too, which is pretty cool.

I was looking for a home security service and got quotes from FrontPoint, ADT, and Citywide Alarms. ADT was pushy — their contractor didn't allow us to think it over for a few days. Told us that the offer is here right now and it may … More not be available tomorrow. He did allow us to cancel within 3 days, though. Still, that was a bit of a hassle for us. I had to go to the post office and pay for certified mail to make sure they received my cancellation notice. I signed up just to get him out of my house but cancelled the next day after getting a better quote from FronPoint. FrontPoint's deal was not bad at all, but they are not a local company and they too played that scare tactic on me and forced me into signing up on the spot. Again, I cancelled them next day after a better offer from CWA; but, I had to wait to get my money back from FrontPoint for a week. Meanwhile, the guy from Citywide Alarms came to my house, was very respectful, wasn't pushy, and let me take my time to compare all our options. In the end, Citywide Alarms beat all of the offers and I got an awesome deal. But the best part about it is that their equipment is very modern and allows for home automation, unlike ADT's system. Going with Citywide Alarms was also inline with our values — we wanted to give our business to a good local company and we did. I highly recommend them. Their offers are very competitive. They really know security very well and their equipment is very nice. They won't try selling you stuff that provides false sense of security and they won't try forcing you into singing up.
